I changed the name of the phone, though, and that name showed when I asked someone to AirDrop me something, so that might be important to note. What also supports my theory of her account still somehow being linked to the phone is the fact that when I signed out of her Apple ID account, there was a prompt asking me if I wanted to keep certain data, and I kept the contacts (and I think calendar), and the fact that in most instances (if not all) where the name of the user of the phone was showed, it showed her name, and not my name (ex: the name in the pop-up when connecting to AirPods). These changes to the wallpaper and profile picture on this phone showed up on her current phone. It seems her Apple ID account is still linked to the phone in some way, as some of my actions affect her current phone where she is logged into her account that I signed out of on this phone (she has an iPhone 14 Pro, unknown ios version), such as changing the wallpaper of the phone, and changing the profile picture of my Apple ID account, even though I am logged into my own Apple ID account. However, something weird was happening with the Apple ID accounts. However, because of this, I think there may be a problem with getting the sync to work, as the phone is no longer logged into her account. I instead created my own Apple ID account, logged out of hers, and signed into mine (I had been an Android user before this). I think this may be possible, as when I started using this phone, I didn't reset it due to all the pictures my mom wanted to keep. In the case that I cannot recover any data, I am wondering if it is possible to sync this phone's data to iCloud and sync the pictures and videos from this phone to iCloud. If what I read online was outdated or otherwise untrue, help with recovering the data would be greatly appreciated. I have no problem resetting the phone otherwise, as I didn't have much of my own data stored locally on the phone, so I really only want to get the pictures and videos. The pictures in the phone are not backed up to iCloud since my mom didn't want to pay the monthly fee for it lol.

This is problematic, as this was my moms old phone, and she has many photos and videos on here that I would hate to delete by putting it in recovery mode. I looked online and from what I can tell, there is no way to unlock the phone, or otherwise recover the data on the phone without knowing the password. I was being an idiot and set a password to my iPhone and then quickly forgot it.
